Aviation Market Sector Leader Building Engineering

Our Building Engineering team are continuing to grow its presence across the Aviation sector. As such we are looking for an experienced Aviation Market Sector Leader to join our Building Engineering team. This position is key to developing our aviation business strengthening client relationships and delivering multidisciplinary engineering projects across Australia. 

This role can be based in Brisbane Sydney or Melbourne. 

How youll make a difference:

• Lead and support the growth of AECOMs aviation building engineering business. Partner with leadership across business lines and technical disciplines to develop and deliver on our ambitious aviation strategy. 
• Build on and maintain strong relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders including airport operators clients industry partners. Use your extensive experience to lead bids and pursuits. 
• Act as project director / design manager on major projects - leading multidisciplinary aviation terminal projects.
• Develop mentor and grow high-performing teams supporting both the technical and professional development of project leaders and engineers across the business 
• Strategically identify opportunities and attend industry networking events to further enhance AECOMs reputation in the aviation sector.
• Lead and create integrated design solutions for clients. 

Qualifications :

The qualities that help you thrive:

• Strong multidisciplinary design management experience with a track record of delivering major airport and airport terminal projects across Australia.
• Ideally 15 years of experience with a suitable engineering degree (mechanical electrical hydraulic or civil) together with demonstrated multidisciplinary design management experience.
• Demonstrated experience in bids and tenders alongside the delivery of complex multidisciplinary projects.
• Experience in a senior project leadership or Project Director capacity with the credibility to lead major projects and engage confidently with senior stakeholders.
• Strong commercial and business development capability with a track record of developing client relationships and winning work.
• A collaborative and inclusive leadership style with a genuine interest in developing people and building high-performing teams.
