Job Summary
Role Purpose
The Automation Specialist will design build test and implement automated workflows and integrations supporting the future-state Local Administrator Access operating model.
Working alongside the Technical Business Analyst the role will focus on replacing manual processes with scalable automation improving user experience and delivering sustainable operational efficiencies.
Automate request intake validation approval training checks reporting and removal flags.
Key Responsibilities
Workflow Automation
- Design and implement automated request approval and fulfilment workflows.
- Configure workflow orchestration and approval routing.
- Automate notifications escalations exception handling and attestation activities.
- Streamline manual operational activities through workflow automation.
- Automate Local Admin request validation approval fulfilment monitoring and removal where possible.
- Uplift Jira / SailPoint workflows to enable faster and more automated responses.
Systems Integration
- Build integrations between request management identity endpoint management and approval platforms.
- Leverage APIs connectors and enterprise automation tooling.
- Enable data exchange across Cyber EUX and Identity systems.
- Support automation of access validation reporting and governance activities.
Technical Solution Delivery
- Translate business requirements into technical workflow solutions.
- Develop automation standards reusable components and implementation patterns.
- Conduct testing defect resolution and deployment activities.
- Support transition into operational support.
User Experience Improvement
- Simplify request submission and fulfilment journeys.
- Reduce manual touchpoints and approval delays.
- Improve transparency and visibility of request status.
- Design self-service capabilities where appropriate.
Reporting and Continuous Improvement
- Develop operational dashboards and automation reporting.
- Measure workflow performance and automation effectiveness.
- Identify further automation opportunities across adjacent processes.
- Provide recommendations for ongoing optimisation.
Success Measures
- End-to-end workflow automation implemented.
- Manual processing effort significantly reduced.
- Approval turnaround times improved.
- Automated governance and reporting established.
- Sustainable support model implemented.
- Reusable automation patterns created for future use cases.
Joint Accountabilities
Both resources will:
- Work as a paired delivery team.
- Participate in discovery and design workshops.
- Engage with Cyber EUX Identity and Engineering stakeholders.
- Support delivery of risk remediation commitments.
- Promote standardisation automation and simplification.
- Identify opportunities to improve employee experience while reducing security risk.
