The Role

You will work across a range of external audit and advisory engagements supporting senior team members while continuing to develop strong technical capability. The work is varied structured and aligned with professional standards and best practice.

Key Areas of Involvement
  • Supporting external audit engagements from planning through to completion

  • Performing audit fieldwork testing and documentation

  • Assisting with audit planning and risk assessments

  • Preparing working papers and draft audit outputs

  • Liaising with clients during engagements under senior guidance

  • Contributing to advisory and assurance projects as required

  • Working within established audit methodologies and quality frameworks

About You
  • 24 years experience in external audit or assurance within public practice

  • Degree qualified in Accounting

  • CA or CPA (in progress or intending to commence) highly regarded

  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills

  • Professional communication and client-facing capability

  • A demonstrated connection to the Cairns region (e.g. currently based in Cairns returning to the region family ties long-term relocation plans)

  • Seeking long-term stability and career progression in North Queensland
