About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for an accomplished academic leader to shape the future of Biomedical Science at RMIT. AstheAssociate Professor you will drive excellence in teachingresearchand engagement influencing the direction of the discipline within theSchool across the University and through partnerships with community professional commercial and industry stakeholders.
You will make a distinguished contribution to curriculum innovation studentoutcomesand research growth while helping shape strategic priorities for theSchool. The role offers scope to lead high-performing teams strengthen external partnerships supervise higher degree researchcandidatesand contribute to major academic initiatives across learning and teachingresearchand scholarship. This appointment may also provide opportunities for broader academic leadership within theSchool.
About You

A strongtrack recordin teaching Biomedical Science withexpertisein areas such asPhysiology Pathophysiology and Cell and Molecular Biology.
Demonstrated success in designing and delivering innovative student-centred curriculumassessmentand work-integrated learning experiences.
A nationally recognised research profile with a substantial publication record in high-quality outlets and growing international standing ideally aligned to priority areas such as respiratory science neuroscience cardiovasculardiseaseor clinical translation.
Proven research leadership including building collaborative teams supervising higher degree by researchcandidatesand securing external research funding.
The ability to lead academic staff foster scholarly development and contribute to a collaborative high-performing culture.
A strong understanding of university governancefinancial managementand quality assurance frameworks.
Highly developed interpersonal communication and negotiation skills with the capacity to engage senior leaders externalpartnersand diverse stakeholders.
A demonstrated ability to contribute as a trusted member of a leadership team that delivers shared goals and strategic outcomes.
Qualifications
