Complex Liabilities Insurance and Regulation(CLIR) is Australias only dedicated specialist complex tort and other liabilities and insurance lifecycle practice and home to Australias market-leading media and defamation practice.

CLIR brings together marketleading expertise across complex torts and other civil liabilities insurance advice and disputes public law regulatory responses and enforcement supporting boards senior executives Government and insurers in matters where legal commercial and reputational issues intersect.

We have an excellent opportunity for an Associate with at least 2 years postadmission and technical experience to join our marketleading Health Law team in directly withSarah Lark one of our preeminent medical malpractice partners and her market leading team you will play a key role in a specialist practice advising icare and all NSW Health agencies on a wide range of complex and highprofile matters including:

• medical malpractice and negligence claims
• coronial inquests and inquiries

Working in a supportive flexible and close-knit team you will be solution-driven commercial and pragmatic and focused on understanding our clients needs.

About You

We welcome applications from lawyers who have:

• at least 2 years postadmission and technical experience in healthrelated disputes ideally including medical malpractice and/or coronial law (experience acting for NSW Health is advantageous but not essential);
• experience practising in the NSW District Court and Supreme Court with strong familiarity with the NSW Coroners Court;
• excellent plainEnglish drafting skills and the confidence to advise clients on complex legal and regulatory issues;
• a high level of technical excellence and attention to detail;
• a strong clientservice mindset with demonstrated experience building and maintaining trusted client relationships;
• the ability to work autonomously while thriving in a teambased collaborative environment; and
• pride in your work your professional reputation and the firm you represent.
