The Associate Director Strategic Growth is a newly created role focused on accelerating highvalue marketing and recruitment initiatives to drive student load conversion and commercial performance across domestic and international markets. Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer and leading a small team the role identifies and unlocks growth opportunities across the prospective student lifecycle leading agile crossfunctional squads to design test and scale initiatives that deliver measurable revenue and demand uplift.
This role plays a key part in optimising the endtoend marketing and recruitment funnel reducing delivery friction and enabling faster more coordinated execution of strategic priorities. Working closely with faculties and enterprise functions the Associate Director ensures alignment between growth initiatives customer experience and operational delivery while championing contemporary practices such as AIenabled marketing automation and scalable acquisition to enhance speed quality and commercial impact.
As Associate Director Strategic Growth you will:
- Lead a defined portfolio or specialist function translating University priorities into practical frameworks and highquality deliverables aligned to organisational goals.
- Provide strategic advice to senior leaders on complex operational and strategic matters using sound judgement to influence direction and outcomes.
- Interpret strategy policy and external trends to guide decisions and ensure alignment with University priorities and the evolving higher education landscape.
- Drive continuous improvement by refining systems processes and practices to enhance quality consistency and effectiveness.
- Lead and develop team members through clear expectations feedback and recognition fostering accountability and capability growth.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across the University to align activities resolve complex issues and deliver shared outcomes.
- Contribute to strategic initiatives providing specialist expertise monitoring progress and ensuring delivery against priorities.
To be successful youll have:
- Postgraduate qualifications or equivalent experience in a relevant discipline with deep specialist expertise and recognised professional credibility.
- Demonstrated experience leading a portfolio function or discipline within a complex organisational environment.
- Proven ability to provide high-level advice and influence senior stakeholders on complex strategic and sensitive matters.
- Strong experience shaping and improving professional practice frameworks systems or methodologies.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop people through influence including building capability and fostering high performance.
- Experience translating strategic priorities into practical sustainable approaches and outcomes.
