Our Strategic Policy Science and Engagement team is seeking to appoint an Associate Director Stakeholder Engagement to play a key role in establishing and embedding the departments stakeholder engagement capability.

The position will lead the development and implementation of a department-wide engagement framework tools guidance and networks that support consistent coordinated and high-quality engagement across DCCEEW. Working closely with stakeholders across the department the role will strengthen engagement practice build organisational capability and support the delivery of priority initiatives.

The Associate Director will drive collaboration across groups foster strong internal and external relationships and champion innovative approaches to stakeholder engagement. Through strategic planning coordination and advice the role will help ensure stakeholder interactions are aligned with departmental priorities informed by best practice and contribute to effective policy development and program delivery.

About You

You bring a strong track record in stakeholder engagement with proven experience developing implementing and evaluating strategic tactical and operational engagement plans and programs.

Youre confident managing complex and often contentious issues balancing competing priorities while maintaining a clear focus on outcomes.

With solid project management capability and leadership skills you know how to drive initiatives forward and influence stakeholders at all levels. Your highly developed interpersonal skills enable you to build trusted relationships navigate conflicting needs and achieve alignment across diverse stakeholder groups.

Essential Requirements

  • Tertiary qualification in media journalism communications or relevant discipline or equivalent relevant experience.
