Job Summary

At KPMG Australia our Mid-Market & Private Advisory team specialises in helping clients unlock tangible valuefrom strategy through to execution. Within this the Management Consulting team partners with clients to deliver impactful business change project delivery and operational transformation.

Your Opportunity

As an Associate Director in our Management Consulting team you will lead strategic consulting engagements build trusted relationships with executive stakeholders and play a key role in growing our practice.

Working across Local Government Health and Human Services Defence Industry and Mid-Market  Corporate you will develop innovative solutions that create lasting value for clients.

This role offers the opportunity to lead high-impact engagements influence strategic decision-making and contribute to the continued success and growth of KPMGs Advisory business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead consulting engagements from scoping through to execution and delivery.
  • Partner with clients to solve strategic operational and organisational challenges.
  • Provide leadership across engagement teams ensuring high-quality client outcomes and project profitability.
  • Drive business development activities including opportunity identification proposal development client relationship management and market engagement.
  • Build and maintain trusted executive-level client relationships across a range of sectors.
  • Develop innovative solutions using structured problem-solving data-driven insights and industry knowledge.
  • Lead and contribute to major pursuits bids and practice growth initiatives.
  • Coach mentor and develop Managers and junior team members fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Collaborate across KPMG service lines to deliver integrated client solutions.
  • Support the growth and strategic direction of the Innovation Strategy & Transformation

  • Significant experience in management consulting or advisory services.
  • Proven success leading multiple client engagements.
  • Strong business development capability and experience managing senior client relationships.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply structured thinking and analysis techniques to ambiguous problems
  • Strong analytical and communication skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proven experience in operating model design organisational change transformation delivery business process improvement business case development and cost optimisation.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and stakeholder management skills
  • Willingness to travel as required and current Australian work rights.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelors degree in Business Commerce Economics Engineering or a related discipline.
