Whats the role
Youll join Westpacs Institutional Bank in a full-time role based in Melbourne working with a portfolio of large corporate and institutional clients across a range of Consumer & Industrials sectors. Youll lead high-quality credit analysis and support the structuring of lending solutions that align with both client needs and the banks risk appetite.
Day to day youll manage a portfolio of clients assess transactions and provide clear commercially sound credit recommendations. Youll work closely with Relationship Managers product partners and risk teams to support deals from origination through to ongoing monitoring.
Youll also draw on market and industry insights to add value to client conversations contributing to stronger relationships and better outcomes. This is a collaborative role where your insights and judgement help shape decisions and support sustainable business growth.
What do I need
Youll bring strong credit capability and a collaborative mindset with the confidence to engage stakeholders and deliver clear insights. Youll have:
- Experience in corporate or institutional banking with strong capability in credit writing analysis and assessment.
- Experience managing a portfolio of institutional-sized clients with exposure to financial markets syndications and multi-bank relationships.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality outcomes under tight timeframes.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills both internally and with clients.
- Sound commercial judgement with the ability to balance risk and opportunity in decision making.
- Exposure to agribusiness customers would be advantageous.
