Whats the role

Youll play a key role in delivering corporate loan solutions for Westpacs Institutional Bank partnering closely with clients and internal stakeholders to bring transactions to life. Based in Melbourne in a full-time permanent role youll lead the structuring pricing and execution of bilateral club and syndicated lending transactions across a diverse range of industries for Institutional Bank customers.

Youll be hands-on across the end-to-end deal lifecycle working collaboratively with coverage teams credit analysts legal partners and broader bank stakeholders to shape negotiate and close transactions. This role offers the opportunity to build strong relationships balance risk and commercial outcomes and consistently deliver a high standard of client service. Youll also contribute to team success by sharing knowledge and supporting the development of junior colleagues as needed.

What do I need

Youll bring a proactive self-driven approach along with strong lending and documentation expertise and be confident leading transactions end-to-end.

  • Experience working in loan markets within a banking or legal environment with strong exposure to facility and loan documentation.
  • Confidence reviewing negotiating and executing legal and commercial documentation.
  • Ability to run transactions end-to-end working directly with clients and stakeholders.
  • Strong communication skills with confidence presenting to clients pitching opportunities and providing market insights.
  • Strong commercial judgement with a balance of risk awareness and deal execution focus.
  • A self-starter mindset with a proactive approach and ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
