As our Assistant Venue Manager you will work closely with the Venue Manager to oversee daily front-of-house operations. You will be a highly visible leader on the floor motivating the team engaging with guests and ensuring service runs seamlessly. This is a hands-on role perfect for an experienced supervisor or assistant manager looking to step up take ownership and fast-track their hospitality career.Your key responsibilities include;
Lead the Floor: Run busy daily shifts manage front-of-house flow and maintain a high standard of service and hospitality.
Team Leadership: Recruit onboard train and mentor casual floor and bar staff to maintain high performance and low turnover.
Guest Relations: Build a loyal local customer base by handling guest inquiries feedback and issues with professionalism and grace.
Financial Oversight: Manage cash handling daily reconciliation and assist with monitoring labour costs and inventory levels.
Compliance & Safety: Maintain RSA standards ensure strict adherence to licensing laws and uphold workplace health and safety guidelines.
Event Execution: Help coordinate and execute private functions themed nights and special venue events.

What were looking for: Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar senior culinary role (e.g. Senior Chef Head Chef Exec Chef) in a high-volume fast-paced kitchen. Qualifications: Trade Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent) is highly regarded. Skills: Excellent knife skills strong communication and the ability to stay calm and organized under pressure. Leadership: A natural leader who leads by example respects their team and fosters collaboration between the front and back of house.
