About the role
A great opportunity has arisen in our Hudson Mitre 10 Trade Centre business for an Assistant Trade Yard Manager in our new Mitchell site. This is a Full-Time Monday to Friday role working 7am-3pm.
What you will be doing
- Lead coach and motivate team members to achieve high standards of customer service safety and productivity
- Act as a point of escalation for customer and team queries within the department
- Allocate daily work tasks monitor performance and ensure workloads are completed efficiently
- Foster a positive respectful and safetyfocused team culture
- Champion health and safety by ensuring safe work practices for staff customers and contractors
- Serve customers by assisting with orders and delivering fast efficient and professional service
- Receive and put away stock predominantly timber and associated products
- Pick prepare and dispatch customer orders for delivery trucks accurately and on time
What you will bring
- Demonstrate a strong customer focus
- Demonstrated experience leading mentoring or stepping up within a team environment
- Demonstrate ability to work in a fast paced team environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Prioritise workload to effectively meet deadlines
- Must be physically fit and able to be on your feet all day
- An eye for detail and a sense of urgency
- Trade knowledge and experience in the contruction or timber/hardware (essential)
- Forklift Licence (essential)
- Car Licence (essential)
