Are you a hospitality professional ready to take the next step at one of the busiest spots in North Queensland The Kirwan Tavern is looking for a driven floor-focused Assistant Manager who thrives in a high-volume environment and knows how to keep a large team moving in sync.

The Kirwan is a total engine room. Whether its a packed family weekend crowd in our massive bistro a bustling house for live sports in the bar or managing our premium gaming operations this venue requires a leader who loves being in the thick of the action. We need someone with sharp operational instincts who can maintain elite standards and deliver great hospitality across every single shift.

A day in the life of an Assistant Manager:

• Get to know the locals so well they think youre part of the crew
• Support the Publican to keep the pub running smoothly safely and with a great vibe
• Learn the ropes of being a Publican while leading a team of absolute hospo legends
• Handle hiccups before they turn into headaches
• Bring the energy the service and the smiles every single shift

Inherent requirements:

• This is a hands-on role that involves manual handling and lifting as part of regular duties (e.g. moving stock kegs and deliveries). Applicants must have the ability to perform physical tasks safely and efficiently.

About you:

• Youve been around the bar bistro or gaming room block and maybe already done some supervising
• Youve learned from great managers and now youre ready to step up
• Youve got the confidence pride and people skills to be the face of the pub when the boss is away
• Youve got a current RSA/RSG RMLV and Approved Managers Licence as per state requirements
