We are seekingan Assistant Head of DepartmentandHistory and Legal StudiesTeachercommencingTerm theAssistant Head of Departmentyou will be responsible forsupporting the Head of Department inthe continuous improvement and delivery of theHistory Legal Studies and Society and Culturecurriculumacross Years 7 -12 including the Higher School Certificate (HSC) and International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme.

The successful applicant will be an excellent and engaging classroom practitioner whodemonstratescreativity andrigourin the delivery of curriculum and enjoys working in a committed and professional team.

The successful candidate willbe able todemonstrate:

  • Experience teaching Year 7 - 10 History

  • Experience teaching HSC Legal Studies

  • Experience teaching HSC Modern History Ancient History or Society and Culture (desirable)

  • The ability to integrate digital technologies and ICT effectively into teaching and learning

  • Skill in differentiating curriculum delivery to meet diverse student needs

  • Strongorganisational communication and interpersonal skills

  • A collaborative flexible and proactive approach to working within a professional team

  • A commitment to academic excellenceinnovationand continuous improvement
