ACCHOs deliver comprehensive primary health care to more than half of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples nationally.

About the Role

The Assistant Director Prison Health Reform and Programs is a key member of the Prison Health Reform team responsible for inspiring and leading a small team delivering highquality outcomes and enabling ACCHO-led transition care models to support First Nations people exiting places of detention. The role requires excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail with the ability to manage competing requests perspectives and priorities while working collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders.

The successful candidate will bring a positive contemporary approach and lead culturally responsive traumainformed engagement to enable corrections and health partners to make a real and sustained improvement in health outcomes for people exiting detention.

Responsibilities of this role but not limited to:

• Facilitate the co-design of ACCHO-led transition care models supporting First Nations people leaving custody.
• Oversee the implementation of the co-designed transitioncare programs across participating ACCHOs ensuring high-quality and timelydelivery.
• Monitor and evaluate program outcomes drivingcontinuous improvement and impact.
• Establish and sustain a national community of practice to strengthen capability and support across ACCHOs.

About You

To succeed in this role you will bring:

• Qualifications in Public Health Project Management Business or related discipline highly desirable
• Demonstrated experience in a similar role
• Experience coordinating and implementing frameworks
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills across groups with competing priorities
• Experience managing timelines budgets and reporting requirements
