Rosebank College has a proud and varied history of over 150 years as part of the Good Samaritan family established in 1857 and belonging to the Benedictine spiritual and educational tradition founded by St Benedict in the 4th century. The College belongs to the community of ten schools across Australia called Good Samaritan Education (GSE). About the Role
A school of Good Samaritan Education Rosebank College seeks expressions of interest for the position of Assistant Dean of Professional Learning (Accreditation and Professional Practice) to join the Professional Learning and Culture Deanery in a permanent full-time position (2-point Coordinator Allowance) with additional release time. Commencing Term 1 2027 and reporting to the Dean of Professional Learning and Culture the successful candidate will lead and coordinate teacher accreditation professional practice and professional learning initiatives across the College.
This role includes a teaching component with additional responsibilities and release time to enable the leadership component of the role to be performed.
The Assistant Dean of Professional Learning (Accreditation and Professional Practice) plays a significant leadership role in supporting the professional growth and development of all teachers including Stage 3 teachers Pre-Service Teachers and Early Career Teachers through to those pursuing Highly Accomplished and Lead Teacher (HALT) accreditation pathways. The role is responsible for overseeing professional experience programs coordinating accreditation processes mentoring teachers and ensuring the College meets its obligations under NESA and AITSL requirements.
Working collaboratively with leaders across the College the successful candidate will contribute to developing a culture of teaching excellence through coaching mentoring reflection and evidence-based professional learning practices. The role supports the ongoing development of teachers at all stages of their professional journey including Stage 3 and middle leaders as well as the development of networks and partnerships with schools and universities. The role also supports staff wellbeing initiatives contributing to the strategic priorities of the Professional Learning and Culture Deanery.

About You

To be considered for this position you must meet the following criteria:
- Extensive experience as a highly effective subject teacher across Stages 4 5 and 6;
- Demonstrated excellence as a classroom teacher with a strong commitment to contemporary evidence-based pedagogy
- Experience mentoring and supporting Early Career Teachers Graduate Teachers and Pre-Service Teachers
- Sound knowledge and understanding of AITSL Professional Standards for Teachers and NESA Accreditation requirements
- Experience coordinating or supporting teacher accreditation processes including Maintenance of Accreditation Proficient Teacher and higher levels of accreditation HALT
- Demonstrated ability to design facilitate and evaluate professional learning programs and staff development initiatives
- Proven ability to provide instructional coaching classroom observation feedback and professional mentoring
- Excellent organisational and project management skills with the ability to maintain records and oversee accreditation processes
- Ability to build positive partnerships with universities external stakeholders teaching staff and College leaders
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the capacity to foster collaborative professional relationships
- Commitment to continuous improvement and developing a culture of professional growth and reflection
- Ability to effectively integrate technology into professional learning and administrative practices
- Possess a valid and current Working with Children Check
- A commitment to child safeguarding principles
- Current NESA Accreditation and approval to teach in NSW
