Whats the role

Youll play a key role in supporting company secretarial services across Westpac Group subsidiaries contributing to strong governance regulatory compliance and high-quality board operations

Key responsibilities

  • Support subsidiary governance activities including board and committee processes
  • Coordinate board meetings prepare agendas papers minutes and resolutions
  • Manage regulatory lodgements and statutory filings (ASIC)
  • Maintain accurate company records and registers through Diligent Entities
  • Assist with ASX and international stock exchange announcements
  • Support statutory reporting annual reviews and governance processes
  • Contribute to improving Secretariat processes controls and systems
  • Engage with senior stakeholders across Legal Risk Finance and the broader business

What do I need

  • Experience in company secretariat or governance roles ideally within financial services
  • Strong understanding of corporate governance and regulatory obligations (ASIC)
  • Knowledge of board and committee processes including preparation of papers and minutes
  • High attention to detail with the ability to manage competing deadlines
  • Confidence working with senior stakeholders and handling sensitive information
  • Strong written and communication skills
  • Experience with Diligent Entities/Boards or similar systems is advantageous
