Reporting directly to the Financial Accountant you will play a pivotal role in supporting our day-to-day financial functions ensuring accuracy and contributing to the overall success of the organisation.
This is a full time on-site position.
The RoleFinancial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly quarterly and annual financial statements reports and board packages.
Analysis & Forecasting: Monitor and analyse financial data track variances (with a focus on operating and personnel costs) and gather data for forecasts.
Month-End & Reconciliations: Support month-end processes including journal preparation transactional reviews and general ledger reconciliations.
Core Accounting: Perform day-to-day accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) duties.
Payroll Support: Process payroll transactions and maintain compliant payroll records.
Audit & Compliance: Assist with audit preparation contribute documentation and ensure day-to-day transactional accounting complies with Australian standards and industry guidelines.
Stakeholder Management: Maintain professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders to efficiently resolve financial or invoicing queries.
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field.
Strong proven experience in an accounting or accounts officer role.
Solid knowledge of Australian tax laws.
Proficiency with accounting software preferably Netsuite and Employment Hero.
Previous experience within the Aged Care sector is highly advantageous.
