Art and Design Technician
Job Summary
Casual opportunity for Term 3
We are currently looking for a casual Arts & Design Technician in Term 3 as a job share arrangement to provide technical organisational and practical support to the Arts and Design and Technologies faculties to ensure the effective delivery of Visual Arts Media Design and Technologies programs. The role supports teachers and students by maintaining safe well-resourced learning environments coordinating equipment and materials and assisting with both traditional and emerging creative technologies.
Key responsibilities include:
- Demonstrate understanding and operation of DSLR cameras lenses and related photography equipment and undertake photo shoots
- Digital image editing printing and exhibition preparation
- 3D printing and associated software such as Tinkercad and Blender
- Laser cutting technologies and associated software including Adobe Illustrator and LightBurn
- Cricut machines and design software
- Assisting with the setup operation troubleshooting and maintenance of equipment
- Supporting staff and students to use technologies safely and effectively
- Technical and classroom support such as preparing classrooms materials and equipment for lessons
- Equipment Resources and Inventory Management
- Provide support for textiles and mixed-media projects
- Art production exhibition and specialist studio support
- Administrative and Operational support
Remuneration is in accordance with the Catholic Education Multi Enterprise Agreement (2022) with classification negotiated based on experience.
