Job Summary
- Initial Contract Duration: 12 Months
- Extension term details: 12 Months

- Security Requirements: Must be able to obtain Baseline
- Working Arrangements: Hybrid
- The resource will be required to work on a full-time basis - 5 days per week both onsite and remotely on a hybrid model of 50/50 under this engagement. It is preferred that the resource will be based in Sydney
- Maximum hours: 40 hours per week
Job details
Automation Testers construct automated tests which confirm that systems and services function appropriately and they validate the environment in which these things operate to make sure test results are valid.
The Department is seeking to engage multiple Automation Testing resources to support the increased demand for automation testing across the organisation. With several projects running concurrently existing capacity is stretched creating a risk to the timely delivery of projects and ongoing testing mitigate this risk requires suitably qualified and experienced Automation Testing professionals across varying levels of seniority including:
Junior Automation Tester (13 years experience)
Intermediate Automation Tester (35 years experience)
Key duties and responsibilities
Required Skills and Experience
Resources engaged under this arrangement must demonstrate qualifications and experience in the following areas:
- Selenium framework with C#
- MS Devops and CI/CD integration
- API interface automation tools
- Microsoft Visual Studio
- Familiarity with MS CRM dynamics or equivalent
- Fluent in Agile delivery methodology
- Fluent in test delivery methodology
- Adaptable in a dynamic project environment
Essential Criteria
1. Testing: Level 4 (SFIA)
Selects appropriate testing approach including manual and automated testing. Develops and executes test plans and test cases. Implements scalable and reliable automated tests and frameworks. Collaborates across parties involved in product systems or service design and development to enable comprehensive test coverage. Identifies improvements in requirements design or specification processes to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of testing. Analyses and reports on test activities results issues and risks including the work of others.
Additional requirements
1. In accordance with the Australian Government Security Policy all personnel that are engaged by the Department are required to complete a security assessment (Department Suitability and Baseline assessment).
