Position: APS5 Grant Funding Arrangement Manager

Location: Darwin NT

Start date: ASAP

Duration: Approx. 11 months with potential to extend

Pay rate: $59.35 per hour plus 12% superannuation

Security requirements: Must be an Australian Citizen to be considered for this position.


Overview

Our Federal Government client is seeking an APS5 Grant Funding Arrangement Manager to support the delivery of community grant programs that improve outcomes for individuals families and communities across Australia.

Working as part of a collaborative grants team you will manage funding agreements build strong relationships with funded organisations monitor grant performance and compliance and provide valuable insights to support the ongoing improvement of government programs. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with community organisations and stakeholders while contributing to the effective delivery of important public services.


Responsibilities
  • Manage a portfolio of grant funding agreements and monitor performance against agreed objectives and outcomes.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with funded organisations and key stakeholders.
  • Monitor compliance with funding agreements and address performance issues where required.
  • Identify assess and escalate risks that may impact program delivery.
  • Gather and analyse information to support policy development and continuous program improvement.
  • Use government systems to maintain accurate records performance data and risk information.
  • Monitor local and environmental trends affecting grant delivery.
  • Apply relevant legislation policies procedures and program guidelines in day-to-day decision making.
  • Contribute to a collaborative team environment focused on delivering positive outcomes for Australian communities.

Experience/requirements
  • Experience managing contracts grants funding agreements or similar stakeholder-based programs.
  • Strong relationship management and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to analyse information identify risks and provide practical solutions.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Sound judgement and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience working within government or a highly regulated environment will be highly regarded.
  • A genuine interest in supporting positive outcomes for communities and vulnerable Australians.
  • Must be an Australian Citizen.
