Duration: Initially 3 months with potential to extend for another 3 months
Pay rate: Rates negotiable dependent on skills and experience
Security requirements: Baseline Security Clearance preferred or ability to obtain
Overview:
Our Federal Government client is seeking an experienced APS5 Desktop Support Officer to join a fast-paced ICT environment supporting departmental staff senior executives and ministerial offices. This role will provide Level 2 ICT support across a range of end-user technologies and services contributing to the delivery of reliable and secure ICT operations.
Responsibilities:
Provide Level 2 ICT support to departmental staff senior executives and ministerial officers via phone email instant messaging service requests and onsite support.
Resolve technical issues relating to end-user hardware software and collaboration technologies.
Provision and manage ICT equipment while maintaining accurate asset register records.
Provide technical support and consultation for video conferencing and digital collaboration services.
Monitor and prioritise ICT incidents and service requests to meet service level agreements.
Produce and maintain knowledge base articles and operational documentation.
Work collaboratively with technical and enablement teams to resolve incidents and improve ICT processes.
Participate in an out-of-hours on-call support roster as required.
Contribute positively to team meetings escalation processes and continuous improvement activities.
Experience/requirements:
Demonstrated experience providing Level 2 ICT support including incident triage and resolution.
Experience provisioning ICT equipment and supporting video conferencing technologies.
Strong customer service focus with the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
Ability to work independently while maintaining a professional approach.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across a range of technologies and services.
Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills.
