APS4 Data Officer

Position: APS4 Data Officer
Location: Canberra
Start date: ASAP
Duration: Approx. 12 months
Pay rate: $54.32 to $57.40 per hour plus super
Security requirements: Australian Citizenship preferred with the ability to obtain and maintain any required security clearance.

Overview:

An exciting opportunity is available for an APS4 Data Officer to support a high-performing team responsible for driving business innovation data reporting and continuous improvement within a large Federal Government agency.

Working within a business improvement and data-focused environment you will assist in developing reporting solutions improving the quality of operational data and supporting stakeholders through training and guidance. This role is ideal for someone with strong analytical skills who enjoys working with data to support informed decision-making and business outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Support the development and enhancement of Power BI reporting.
• Assist with improving the capture and quality of operational data.
• Provide training and support to internal stakeholders on reporting tools and data processes.
• Contribute to business improvement initiatives through data analysis and reporting.
• Work collaboratively with business areas and technical specialists to support operational outcomes.

Experience/requirements:

• Demonstrated understanding of data modelling within Power BI.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders.
• Previous experience working with data is highly regarded.
