Apprentice | Diesel Mechanic

During this 4-year apprenticeship youll be working alongside experienced tradespeople youll develop the skills and knowledge required for a rewarding career maintaining some of the most advanced heavy mining equipment in Australia.

Apprentice Diesel Mechanic you will:

• Assist with the maintenance and repair of heavy mining equipment
• Learn fault-finding and diagnostic techniques
• Support planned maintenance inspections and breakdown repairs
• Develop skills working on engines hydraulics powertrains braking systems and mobile equipment
• Follow safe work practices and contribute to a positive safety culture
• Work collaboratively within a high-performing maintenance team
• Complete all apprenticeship training and study requirements

Qualifications :

• Have a genuine interest in mechanical equipment and how things work
• Are reliable motivated and eager to learn
• Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety
• Have good communication and problem-solving skills
• Enjoy working as part of a team
• Hold a current Drivers Licence or are working towards obtaining one
• Finishing Year 12 this year and looking for your next career opportunity
• Previous mechanical automotive or electrical experience is advantageous but not essential.
