Carpenter (First & Second Fix) : Full Time Bilco Group Pty Ltd Denmark WA

An opportunity is available for a full-time Carpenter (First and Second Fix) to join the team and undertake a Certificate III in Carpentry.
Key Responsibilities
Structural Carpentry (First Fix):
Construct and install:
Light steel wall frames
Roof trusses trimmers and rafters
Floor systems and substructures
Install prefabricated wall frames and roof systems on site
Set out measure and cut materials in accordance with plans
Ensure structural alignment level and plumb during installation
Install bracing tie-downs and fixings in line with engineering requirements
External Works:
Install cladding systems (e.g. fibre cement timber composite panels)
Construct pergolas decks and outdoor structures
Install windows and external doors
Apply weatherproofing elements such as sarking flashings and sealants
Internal Carpentry (Second Fix):
Install:
Internal doors frames and hardware
Skirting boards architraves and trims
Cabinetry and joinery components
Carry out finishing works to a high standard
Rectify defects and complete final adjustments
General Duties:
Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
Coordinate with supervisors trades and subcontractors
Maintain tools and equipment in good working order
Assist with loading unloading and material handling
Keep work areas clean and organised

Fast learner with a strong work ethic
Good communication skills
Selection Criteria
Drivers licence (essential)
Forklift licence (beneficial)
