Aus Marine Craft is a Western Australian marine fabrication and boatbuilding business specialising in custom aluminium boats trailers repairs maintenance and structural fabrication projects. Working alongside experienced tradespeople you will develop practical skills across a range of fabrication and welding tasks.
About the Role
As a Metal Fabricator / Boilermaker Apprentice you will learn all aspects of the fabrication trade while working towards a Certificate III in Engineering Fabrication Trade.
Duties may include:
Reading and interpreting drawings and specifications
Measuring marking cutting shaping and bending metal materials
Assisting with welding and fabrication tasks under supervision
Using hand and power tools safely and effectively
Bolting riveting and assembling fabricated components
Checking completed work for quality and accuracy
Cleaning polishing and finishing products
Maintaining tools equipment and a safe work environment
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
A genuine interest in metal fabrication welding and the marine industry
A positive attitude and willingness to learn
Good attention to detail
Strong communication skills
The ability to follow instructions and work safely
A reliable and punctual approach to work
Physical fitness suitable for a workshop environment
Desirable Requirements
Drivers licence preferred
Pre apprenticeship in a relevant trade advantageous
Previous exposure to welding fabrication workshop tools or hands-on work beneficial
Ability to travel to Bibra Lake
Suitable Australian work and study rights to undertake an apprenticeship
