What you will do
We currently have an opportunity for an Appointed Director to join ourBoard for a term of up to threeyears. The Director role is a strategic position within ESSA responsible for governing the organisation.
What youwill bring
We are ideally seeking candidates with priorinvolvementon a significant not-for-profit board or equivalent new Board Director will have extensive experience in one or more ofour priorityareas:
- Expertisein technology AI and innovation
- Finance and accounting
- Legal regulatory and compliance
- Commercial and business strategy
Applicants must be eligible to be appointed as a Director in Australiain accordance Directors will be supported to attend the AICD Foundations of Directorship Course to upskill their governance knowledgeifrequired.
What youwill commit to
- Attendance at Board meetingsapproximately everysecond month primarily on the fourth Friday of the month
- Participation in a Board Committee if appointed
- Attendance at Board strategic workshops1 per year heldin personover 1-2 days
- Attendance at annual general meeting which may be held in-person or online once per year
- Attendance at annual major event(conference/forum) atvarying locations throughout Australia
- Out of session work e.g. reading discussions voting and extraordinary meetings (approximately 2-4days per month)
The roleismodestlyremuneratedfrom an aggregated annualremunerationpool (indexed annually) payable to all ESSADirectorsand all related expenses are paid.
