Community Living Support (CLS) provides individually tailored person-led community-based psychosocial support for people experiencing severe mental health challenges. CLS provides flexible practical support that empowers people to achieve their goals strengthen their independence.

About the opportunity
Wellways is seeking a passionate AOD Worker to support people experiencing co-occurring mental health and alcohol and other drug (AOD) challenges through compassionate recovery-oriented and trauma-informed practice.

Working as part of our Community Living Support (CLS) program youll provide practical support care coordination and service navigation that empowers participants to achieve their recovery goals. You will also bring your personal AOD knowledge to a multidisciplinary team helping strengthen integrated practice across the program.

This is an on-site role requiring regular travel across the service region to build strong community partnerships and deliver responsive person-centred support.

About you
You are passionate about supporting people on their recovery journey and enjoy working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

You will connect participants with a range of services including rehabilitation pharmacotherapy specialist AOD treatment psychoeducation and harm minimisation supports while building strong partnerships with health providers and community organisations to ensure coordinated person-centred care.

As a valued member of a multidisciplinary team youll share your specialist AOD knowledge and help deliver safe high-quality service.

You will also need:

• Experience supporting people experiencing alcohol and other drug challenges ideally alongside mental health recovery.
• Knowledge of harm minimisation overdose prevention and recovery-oriented practice. Completion of the Certificate 4 in Mental Health Certificate 4 in
• Minimum Certificate IV in Alcohol and Other Drugs or an equivalent qualification with an AOD specialisation and relevant experience in a mental health and/or AOD context.
• Birth Certificate/Passport
• Australian Driver Licence
• National Police Check
• Working with Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check
• NDIS Worker Orientation Module completion certificate free online course
