About The Opportunity
Bundaberg Regional Council is seeking an experienced and forward-thinkingAirport Managerto lead the operations of Bundaberg Regional Airport. This is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring safe compliant and efficient airport operations while planning for future growth and community needs.
Youll oversee all aspects of airport operations from safety and regulatory compliance through to commercial outcomes and infrastructure development. Working closely with airlines regulators and other airport stakeholders youll play a pivotal role in shaping the airports future and supporting regional connectivity and economic growth.
About You
You are an experienced aviation professional with the capability and credentials to lead a Regular Passenger Transport (RPT) airport including:
- Substantial experience operating a security-controlled (Tier 2/Category 3) airport with responsibility for safety risk and compliance
- Strong working knowledge of CASA and aviation regulatory frameworks with the ability to interpret and apply legislation and standards in practice
- Appropriate certifications to manage Tier 2 security-controlled RPT airport and hold all required statutory roles for airport operation
- Proven leadership capability with the ability to manage teams exercise judgement and deliver outcomes with experience managing projects budgets and operational performance
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence and build effective relationships
- Demonstrated experience delivering capital works or infrastructure projects
- Current C Class Drivers Licence
- Queensland Occupational Weapons Licence (Category A & B) or the ability to obtain within 12 months.
