About the Role:
This is a leadership opportunity for an experienced clinician to coordinate and drive high-quality consumer care within a Mental Health Unit and/or Community this role you will lead and support nursing and multidisciplinary teams ensuring safe consistent and person-centred care delivery while overseeing local service coordination and resource management. You will play a key role in shaping team performance strengthening clinical practice and improving outcomes for consumers in a complex and rewarding practice environment.
What Were Looking For:
Essential Criteria
- Registered Nurse with Nurse Practitioner registration (or eligibility) and a Graduate Diploma in Mental Health Nursing or equivalent qualification.
- At least 3 years post-registration experience with demonstrated competence in mental health nursing within a multidisciplinary service environment.
- Proven leadership experience with strong communication problem-solving conflict resolution and change management skills including working independently and contributing to senior decision-making.
- Experience in service management including human and financial resource management and a demonstrated ability to lead teams and improve service delivery outcomes.
- Strong knowledge of mental health legislation national standards Aboriginal health needs and culturally safe practice with experience engaging Aboriginal consumers and communities.
Desired Criteria
- Tertiary qualifications (Graduate Diploma or Master level) in mental health practice health service management or a related field are highly regarded.
- Senior clinical and management experience including leading teams managing complex change and overseeing financial human and asset resources within a healthcare setting.
- Strong knowledge of health systems and governance including the South Australian public health system accreditation and quality processes strategic planning and use of clinical/management information systems.
