Yilka Heritage and Land Care is a subsidiary of Yilka Talintji Aboriginal Corporation RNTBC assisting the Yilka native title holders in their corporate governance; cultural and heritage protection; land management and ranger program operations; fee-for-service activities; and other related matters.
About the Role
Reporting to the General Manager you will provide administrative logistical and secretarial support across the organisation helping to ensure the efficient operation of Yilka Heritage & Land Care and the broader Yilka Group.
You will support staff directors members and stakeholders through a variety of administration and coordination activities including:
- Coordinating travel arrangements accommodation bookings and logistics for staff and directors.
- Providing administrative and secretarial support to directors staff and management.
- Coordinating Board director and team meetings.
- Preparing meeting agendas meeting packs and supporting documentation.
- Attending meetings and taking minutes where required.
- Maintaining member and stakeholder records.
- Coordinating calendars and scheduling appointments.
- Maintaining electronic and hard-copy filing systems.
- Raising purchase orders and assisting with invoice administration.
- Providing administrative support to YTAC members and native title holders.
- Assisting with the management of organisational assets and equipment.
- Maintaining vehicle equipment and asset records.
- Assisting with office administration for both the East Perth and Cosmo Newberry offices.
- Liaising with staff directors contractors and stakeholders.
- Assisting with operational projects and other administrative tasks as directed.
About You
You will bring:
- Previous experience in administration office coordination governance support or a similar role.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- High attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Sound Microsoft Office and Teams skills.
- A positive solutions-focused approach.
- A commitment to respectful engagement with Aboriginal people and communities.
Essential Requirements
- Current Australian Drivers Licence.
- National Police Clearance (or ability to obtain).
- Ability to undertake occasional travel as required the position will be based in East Perth with occasional travel to Cosmo Newberry Aboriginal Community.

Salary
The salary range offered is between $70000 to $74000 per annum plus superannuation depending on skills and experience. As a not-for-profit YHLC offers salary packaging which can boost your take-home pay by reducing taxable income.
