About the Role
Mater Private Hospital Rockhampton has an exciting opportunity for a customer-focused Administrator to join our team in a Permanent Part-Time this role you will work 32 hours per week across a seven-day roster providing high-quality administrative support while contributing to the delivery of exceptional service for our patients visitors and clinical teams.
Working closely with the Administration Team Leader/Manager and wider multidisciplinary team you will proactively manage a range of administrative business support and coordination activities. You will work with a degree of autonomy balancing competing priorities while maintaining a strong focus on patient experience data quality operational efficiency and continuous improvement.
Salary range: $39.79 - $44.25 per hourplus superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15900 access to many staff benefits!
What Youll Be Doing
- Providing a high level of administrative support to clinical and operational teams.
- Delivering exceptional customer service to patients visitors medical practitioners and staff.
- Managing reception activities including patient admissions and discharges.
- Conducting health fund eligibility checks and processing patient payments.
- Supporting bookings appointments admissions and course enrolments.
- Assisting with banking reconciliation purchasing and inventory management.
- Coordinating maintenance requests and general operational support activities.
- Performing clinical transcription records management and patient information requests.
- Monitoring and maintaining data quality identifying and correcting discrepancies as required.
- Supporting rostering activities in line with relevant work instructions and enterprise agreements.
About You
- Exceptional customer service skills and a patient-centred approach.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
- Excellent written verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
- Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to analyse information to identify issues and implement solutions.
- Confidence using Microsoft Office applications and healthcare information systems.
- Well-developed problem-solving decision-making and critical thinking skills.
- Experience working within a hospital healthcare or medical setting (desirable)
- Knowledge of health information systems and patient administration processes.
