As an Administration Officer youll take on complex local and global challenges using your skills and experience to drive meaningful changes.
Working as part of a cross-campus team you will contribute to addressing local and University-wide challenges by providing high-quality administrative support. The role will support compliance requirements facilitate change initiatives and contribute to the continuous improvement of School operations.
A key focus of the position is supporting research activities within the school including PhD student engagement initiatives providing administrative support to the Deputy Head of School (Research) and assisting with the coordination and delivery of research-related events and programs such as the Three-Minute Thesis (3MT) competition.
Heres how youll make it matter:
Provide high-quality administrative support across a broad range of functions including travel and space management records management information coordination and maintain review and suggest improvements of administrative processes and procedures.
Undertake routine research and project support activities including data collection record keeping and preparing professional correspondence reports presentations and project applications.
Coordinate and support the planning and delivery of events high school visits workshops and other activities in the School.
Provide secretariat support to committees working groups and project teams including coordinating meetings preparing agendas and minutes and monitoring the completion of action items
Develop and maintain databases and online systems process procurement and financial transactions through University finance systems (e.g. payment and invoice requests) and contribute to the testing and implementation of new or upgraded business systems as required.
Provide advice and guidance on administrative policies and procedures while contributing to the review development and continuous improvement of organisational policies processes and administrative practices.

This position serves as the first point of contact for both internal and external stakeholders. You will also have:
An advanced diploma qualification and at least two years relevant work experience or an equivalent combination of relevant skills knowledge and experience.
Demonstrated experience providing high-level administrative support including travel management records administration procurement recruitment coordination project support information management and continuous process improvement.
Strong organisational written and verbal communication skills with experience preparing professional correspondence reports presentations meeting agendas and minutes along with the ability to interpret procedures contribute to policy implementation and provide clear advice and recommendations.
Proficiency in the use of enterprise systems including finance human resources recruitment and records management platforms with experience processing invoices procurement activities and other administrative transactions.
Proven ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders support committees and working groups coordinate events assist with staff trainingand contribute positively to a collaborative team environment.
A demonstrated commitment to continuous learning adaptability and professional development with the ability to identify opportunities for improvement and embrace new ways of working.
What we can offer This is a fixed-term 12-month full-time position primarily based at Griffith University Brisbane South (Nathan). As Griffith is a multi-site university you may be required to work across other locations.

HEW 5 Base range - $82415.66 - $92456.55 17% superannuation. Full package range - $96426.31 - $108174.16.
