Job Summary

Life Saving Victoria is Victorias peak water safety and lifesaving organisationbuilt on the proudtraditions and programs of our founding organisations the Royal Life Saving Society Australia and Surf Life Saving Australia.

Lifesaving has been an integral part of the Victorian way of life since 1904. Today LSV is a multifaceted volunteer-based community organisation with a focus on public safety and community wellbeing.

Our volunteers membersemployeesand partners work together with communities educational institutions government agenciesbusinessesand the broader aquatic industry to Save lives and empower communities to safely enjoy water.

About the role
This is a full time ongoing position based at our Port Melbourne office with hybrid working arrangements.

You will be responsible for the coordination of the administration functions for the Emergency Management Capability and Response (EMCaR) team which is our operational delivery team ensuring the delivery of high quality and innovative administrative support to the you will:

  • Support the delivery and coordination support for council meetings governance forums and specialist services operations
  • Maintain accurate and timely information management systems including databases filing systems and records
  • Manage key communication channels for the department
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of current information across web and print platforms including documents brochures website content online forms and social media
  • Provide administrative and rostering support to state operations teams including Lifeguards RWC Operators RPAS Pilots and Helicopter Crews.
  • Coordinate the delivery of portfolio projects supporting continuous improvement of processes and systems

About you
You are a highly organised and proactive administrator with experience providing high-quality administrative and project support in a fast-paced environment. With strong attention to detail you are confident preparing reports taking minutes managing information systems and coordinating multiple priorities to meet deadlines. You will bring:

  • Experience supporting rostering processes and communicating operational updates clearly and professionally to staff volunteers and stakeholders
  • Strong proficiency across a range of software applications and information systems
  • The ability to work collaboratively within a team while also managing tasks independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal) with experience supporting a range of stakeholders
  • A customer-focused approach and commitment to providing high-quality service
  • A valid Victorian Employee Working with Children Check is required (or willingness to obtain)
