About the role:
Our Administration team at Sunnybank Private Hospital is looking for an Administration Booking Officer to join our team on a full-time basis.
Reporting to our Administration Manager you will be providing administrative support in collaboration with Practice Managers for Surgeons and the SPH Theatre team.

With 109 inpatient Surgical and Medical beds a rehabilitation gym 7 operating theatres 2 procedure rooms a day oncology unit and an ICU Sunnybank Private Hospital has been providing care to our local community for over 40 years and continually embraces the highest quality of holistic patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
- Data entry for patient information for surgical and medical bookings into WebPAS
- Working closely with clinical staff to ensure accuracy of the bookings.
- Liaising with Practice Managers / Secretaries and surgeons clinical teams to ensure smooth preparation of surgical lists
- Effective communication with Practice Managers to ensure all surgical theatre lists arrive within the required times
- Work with Practice Managers / Secretaries to ensure that all bookings are accurate and that special requirements and other relevant patient details are communicated
- Work with other administration staff theatre staff medical staff and hospital coordinators across the hospital regarding cancellations/additions to the theatre list in a timely manner
Essential Criteria:
- IT literacy and accuracy in inputting patient information for surgical and medical bookings
- Working in a small team to provide smooth communication between VMOs and Practice Managers and the hospital
- Communicate effectively with relevant departments within the hospital regarding any patient booking updates
- Maintain and promote good interpersonal public relations and customer service
- Ability to work efficiently to meet desired time frames
- Previous experience administrative experience in a hospital setting with an excellent understanding of how to coordinate administrative processes
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Excellent computer literacy accuracy and experience in using MS Office software
- Ability to communicate clearly with clinical and nonclinical staff to appropriately prioritise deadlines for patient surgeries
