At Blacktown Arts culture place and people shape everything we do. Your administrative work helps keeps day to day operations organised so arts programs events and projects can be delivered across Blacktown and Western Sydney.
We are looking for an organised and proactive Administration Assistant to support the Manager Arts and Cultural Development and the wider team. You help keep the section running smoothly ensuring arts programs events and projects are delivered effectively across Blacktown and Western Sydney.
You manage the Managers diary coordinate meetings prepare reports and correspondence maintain records and respond to enquiries. You support the Arts and Culture Advisory Committee and Art Collection Panel assist with grant administration enter data into Council systems and help coordinate departmental documentation. You also process invoices raise purchase orders and maintain records help maintain information in Councils record management systems. You also liaise with staff community members and external stakeholders while handling information with discretion and care.
Your work provides the foundation for the team to focus on delivering cultural and creative outcomes for the community. When administration runs smoothly projects progress on time enquiries are managed efficiently and the team remains organised and connected.
This role suits someone with strong organisational skills attention to detail a commitment to customer service and the ability to manage competing priorities in a busy team environment.
