The role of Accounts Clerk involves providing financial administrative and clerical support to the organisation. The role is the day-to-day management of all payment cycle activities in a timely and efficient manner payments control expenses by receiving payments plus processing verifying and reconciling invoices. The role will include general office administration tasks.
About the role:
- Maintain and file remittance advices AP invoices and supporting documents on SharePoint/network systems.
- Enter supplier invoices exchange rates and financial data into Sage and PM systems.
- Process accounts payable EFT payment runs and international/domestic payments.
- Prepare weekly and Monday payment runs including approval workflows and vendor remittance notifications.
- Manage daily receipting debtor allocations and AR aged trial balance reviews for debt collection.
- Handle customer payments via EWAY and respond to customer enquiries and follow-ups.
- Reconcile bank transactions credit card statements petty cash and sundry debtors GL accounts.
- Monitor and resolve corporate credit card issues including fraudulent transactions and refunds.
- Process and reconcile staff expense claims through ExpenseMe and Sage.
- Maintain customer and supplier records including updates audit files and Form 1099 tracking.
- Coordinate monthly cross charges invoice reconciliations and balance sheet support activities.
- Support audits by preparing transaction listings reconciliations and EOFY documentation.
- Manage office administration tasks including supplies couriers archives and service bookings.
- Liaise with banks suppliers and service providers for invoices statements quotes and account matters.
- Provide ongoing administrative and finance support to the CFO management and finance team.
About you:
- Basic bookkeeping and accounting skills are essential; qualifications in Accounting Finance Economics or Business Studies are highly regarded.
- Strong attention to detail and accurate data entry skills with the ability to manage financial records effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel ERP systems and other financial/production software.
- Ability to follow company policies procedures and instructions while managing tasks independently and supporting team operations.
- Professional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with vendors stakeholders and both finance and non-finance staff.
- Strong organisational analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced multi-stakeholder environment.
- Demonstrated initiative adaptability collaboration and proactive follow-up skills with a strong commitment to teamwork and professionalism.
- Leadership and people management capabilities including the ability to act as 2IC and support team coordination when required.
