Were looking for an organised proactive and detail-focused Accounts & Funding Officer to join our growing team. This is a varied and rewarding role where youll play a key part in supporting access to services through Medicare NDIS and a range of funding programs while helping keep our financial operations running smoothly.
Whether you already have experience in healthcare funding or bring strong accounts receivable experience and are keen to learn wed love to hear from you.
About the Role
Working closely with our finance and administration teams you will be responsible for:
- Managing accounts receivable invoicing payment allocation and aged debtors
- Recovering outstanding accounts and negotiating payment arrangements where required
- Investigating and resolving billing discrepancies refunds credits and reconciliation issues
- Processing Medicare NDIS and other funding claims
- Coordinating funding requirements across Workers Compensation Victims Services DCJ and other funding programs
- Maintaining accurate financial billing and client records
- Liaising with clients families insurers funding bodies and internal teams
- Preparing service quotes in accordance with funding requirements
- Supporting reconciliation and finance administration processes
- Responding to enquiries regarding accounts billing funding and payments
About You
You will ideally bring:
- Experience in accounts receivable accounts administration or finance administration
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and stakeholder relationship skills
- Confidence resolving billing account or reconciliation issues
- The ability to manage competing priorities and work independently
- High levels of professionalism discretion and confidentiality
Highly regarded but not essential:
- Experience with Medicare NDIS or healthcare funding systems
- Experience within allied health healthcare disability or community services
- Exposure to Workers Compensation Victims Services or government-funded programs
- Experience using financial billing or client management systems
You will also require:
- A current unrestricted drivers licence
- A cleared Working With Children Check and NDIS Worker Check (or willingness to obtain)
