An established and growing WA business is seeking a hands-on Accountant to join its finance team. This is a broad role offering ownership of the day-to-day finance function while partnering closely with leadership to support business performance compliance and financial reporting.
This opportunity would suit an experienced Accountant or Senior Accounts Officer looking for a varied role with exposure across financial accounting payroll reporting budgeting and process improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Manage Accounts Payable Accounts Receivable and bank reconciliations.
Process fortnightly payroll for approximately 35 employees and oversee payroll compliance.
Prepare and lodge BAS IAS Payroll Tax Superannuation and assist with FBT requirements.
Perform month-end and year-end close including journals accruals prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations.
Prepare monthly management reports budgets forecasts and cash flow reporting.
Maintain the general ledger fixed asset register and financial records.
Liaise with external accountants auditors banks insurers and government agencies.
Support HR administration employee onboarding and payroll-related documentation.
Identify opportunities to improve finance processes controls and reporting.
Provide ad hoc financial analysis and support to management.
About You
Previous experience in an Accountant or Senior Accounts Officer role.
Strong knowledge of Accounts Payable Accounts Receivable payroll and month-end processes.
Experience with BAS Payroll Tax Superannuation and statutory compliance.
Ability to prepare management reports reconciliations and assist with budgeting and forecasting.
Intermediate to advanced Excel skills and experience using accounting systems (MYOB experience advantageous).
High attention to detail excellent organisational skills and a proactive approach.
Accounting qualification with CPA/CA completed or in progress will be highly regarded.
