Job Summary
Join Ruahs Finance team and play a key role in supporting financial performance reporting compliance and decision-making across a purpose-driven organisation making a meaningful impact throughout Western Australia.
Working closely with the Senior Accountant and stakeholders across the organisation you will contribute to financial reporting month-end and year-end processes budgeting forecasting cash flow management general ledger maintenance reconciliations funding claims grant reporting audit preparation and financial controls.
This opportunity is ideal for candidates seeking exposure to financial accounting management accounting business partnering government-funded programs revenue management KPI reporting stakeholder engagement and continuous improvement. Experience within community services health mental health disability aged care social services government or not-for-profit organisations will be highly regarded.

About the Role
Reporting to the Senior Accountant the Accountant supports both financial and management accounting functions across the organisation. You will contribute to the preparation of financial reports budgets reconciliations and analysis helping ensure accurate financial information is available to support decision-making and organisational objectives.
This is a permanent full-time position based in our Northbridge office.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly management reports financial analysis and variance reporting
- Maintain general ledger integrity and complete balance sheet reconciliations
- Support budgeting forecasting and cash flow reporting processes
- Prepare financial statements and contribute to month-end and year-end reporting
- Process funding claims client billing and revenue reconciliations ensuring compliance with funding requirements
- Monitor accounts receivable investigate discrepancies and support debt resolution activities
- Assist with grant reporting funding acquittals and compliance obligations
- Support audit preparation statutory reporting and financial control activities
- Provide financial advice and reporting support to stakeholders across the organisation
- Identify and implement opportunities to improve financial processes systems and reporting

Were looking for a finance professional who combines strong technical accounting skills with a collaborative and proactive approach. Youll be comfortable working with financial data building stakeholder relationships and delivering accurate timely insights that support informed decision-making.
Essential
- Tertiary qualification in Accounting Commerce Finance or a related discipline
- CPA Australia or CA ANZ membership or actively working towards qualification
- Previous experience in an Accountant Assistant Accountant Financial Accountant or similar role
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles financial reporting management accounting and compliance requirements
- Experience preparing balance sheet reconciliations monthly reports and year-end accounting activities
- Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience working with financial management systems or ERP platforms
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to build effective working relationships
- Ability to manage competing priorities and consistently meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Desirable
- Experience working in a not-for-profit community services health disability aged care or government-funded organisation
- Knowledge of grant reporting funding acquittals and contract compliance requirements
- Experience with Medicare billing NDIS funding or other government-funded service programs
- Exposure to budgeting forecasting management accounting cost centre reporting or financial modelling
- Experience supporting external audits statutory reporting and year-end processes
- Understanding of SCHADS Award-funded environments
