About the Role
TheAccountantis responsible forindependently managing core accounting activities for assigned entities or processes ensuringaccuratemonthendclose financial reporting and compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.
This role requires sound professional judgment a strong understanding of accounting principles and the ability to resolvenonroutineissues with limited supervision. The Financial Accountant partnerscrossfunctionallyandsupportscontinuous improvement across accounting processes.
What Youll Do
Financial Accounting & Close
Own and executemonthendandyearendclose activities for assigned legal entities or accounting areas
Prepare and review journal entries accruals prepayments and adjustments
Perform balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances to ensure accuracy and completeness
Ensuretimelyandaccuratefinancial resultsin accordance withUS GAAP / IFRS and YETI accounting policies
Financial Reporting & Analysis
Prepare financial statements supporting schedules and management reporting
Analyze P&L and balance sheet movements providing clear explanations for variances
Support internal and external reporting requirements including statutory reporting where applicable
Compliance & Controls
Ensure adherence to internal control requirements
Partner with auditors during internal and external audits providing documentation and explanations
Identifycontrol gaps or process risks and recommend mitigation actions
Business &CrossFunctionalPartnership
Collaborate with FP&A Operations Supply Chain Tax and Technology teams to ensureaccuratefinancial outcomes
Provideaccounting guidance on transactions and operational activities
Respond tofinancerelatedqueries with clear practical recommendations
Process Improvement & Systems
Identifyopportunities to improve efficiency accuracy and scalability of accounting processes
Support system enhancements automation initiatives and process documentation
Serve as a subject matter expert for assigned accounting areas or systems
What You Bring
2 years of progressive experience in financial accounting audit or related roles
Knowledge of accounting principles (US GAAP and/or IFRS)
Experiencesupportingmonth-endclose processes
Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail
Ability to exercise independent judgment and resolve complex accounting issues
ExperiencewithERP systems and advanced Excel skills
Clear written and verbal communication skills
CA CPA or equivalent professional qualification (or in progress)
Exposure to inventory revenue recognition or cost accounting
