Accountant

About the Position

As an Accountant you will support the delivery of accurate financial reporting analysis and business partnering across Arts Centre Melbourne. Working closely with Finance Business Partners and stakeholders across the organisation you will prepare month-end reporting reconciliations budgeting and forecasting analyse financial performance and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented finance professional who enjoys combining technical accounting expertise with commercial insights to support informed decision-making and organisational success.

Full-Time Fixed Term February 2027 Band 3.3 $% superannuation

Your Skills and Experience

• CA CPA ACA or equivalent qualification
• Experience in financial reporting and analysis
• Strong month-end accounting experience
• Experience with budgeting and forecasting
• Knowledge of general ledger and reconciliations
• Experience with variance and trend analysis
• Financial modelling and analytical skills
• Experience partnering with non-finance stakeholders
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including pivot tables and modelling
• Experience with ERP or financial management systems
• Knowledge of Power BI Calumo or similar reporting tools (desirable)
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Strong problem-solving and analytical capability
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Continuous improvement mindset
• Valid working rights in Australia
• Satisfactory National Police Check required

Bringing together expertise in accounting operations compliance reporting and financial performance the team provides the financial insight and controls that enable the organisation to achieve its strategic and operational objectives
