About the Role:

As a Sessional Academic you will have the opportunity to teach within our VU First Year College who offer a unique learning experience designed specifically for first year students. VUsFirst Year College islooking to increase their pool of qualified people to teach into ourBachelor of Laws degree.

You will engage in our renowned VU Block Model where one unit is taught at a time. This allows you to teach in small groups and provides you with an opportunity to engage with and get to know your students. Each appointment will be for a block of 4 weeks of teaching (typically 3 hours a day 3 days a week over 4 weeks) and provides you with an opportunity to teach at any particular time.

The Academic Sessional hourly rates and conditions of employment will apply as per theVictoria UniversityEnterprise Agreement 2025. Clickherefor the applicable andcurrent Academic Sessionalhourly rates.

About You:

You will be someone with energy who is innovative progressive resilient and collaborative in the way you work. You will be an excellent communicator who collaborates well with others across the College and the University.

You will hold a minimum Honours or Masters qualification in a relevant field with a PhD considered desirable.
