The College is seeking an outstanding and experienced 1st V Basketball Coach to lead our premier basketball team for the 2026/2027 basketball season. This maximum-term seasonal opportunity is ideal for a passionate coach who is committed to developing young athletes fostering a culture of excellence and contributing positively to a leading independent school sporting program.

Reporting to the Program Coordinator Basketball the 1st V Basketball Coach will be responsible for leading and developing the Colleges premier basketball team while supporting the broader vision of the Basketball Program. The successful candidate will create a positive high-performance environment that enables students to develop their skills character teamwork and love of the game.

ABOUT YOU

The successful candidate will:

  • Have a proven experience coaching basketball at a senior representative school club state or equivalent level.
  • Strong technical and tactical basketball coaching knowledge.
  • Exceptional leadership communication and relationship-building skills with the capacity to develop a climate of trust and mutual respect with colleagues students and parents.
  • Have a commitment to developing young people through sport.
  • Have the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Have the availability to attend weekday training sessions weekend fixtures and key tournament commitments.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of and commitment to the Mission and Values of the College.
  • Hold a current Working with Children Check and be committed to safeguarding and promoting the safety welfare and wellbeing of children and young people.
  • Hold current First Aid and CPR certification.
