Lead Engineer

Position Summary:

Emerson is a leading global technology software and engineering company providing innovative solutions for customers in industrial commercial and residential markets.
Our Automation Solutions business helps process hybrid and discrete manufacturers maximize production protect personnel and the environment while optimizing their energy and operating costs.

We are looking for Lead Engineer in Automation solution division. The successful candidate will be an integral part of the Process System and solution group. He will perform the role of Project / Site Lead in various projects of Emerson Automation solution division.

In This Role Your Responsibilities Will Be:

• Develop the engineering deliverables namely Functional Design Specifications System Design Specifications Test Specifications Software coding hardware design assembly unit testing and third-party supply.
• Responsible for design input review project specification review and prepare table of compliance
• Closely work with the overall lead and project manager to procure the material on time.
• Follow up with different vendors and review and approve their technical quotations.
• Support engineering teams incl. back-office resources in the delivery of project deliverables.
• Responsible for review & approval project documents developed by back-office resources
• Implementation of system technical solutions within bid submission timescales.
• Lead and implement the configuration of the Hardware/software and Implementation in the project as per the customer requirements andEmerson quality compliance
• Lead and perform the PreFAT and FAT independently.
• Manage and coordinate with different teams plan and deliver the project on time
• Work closely with the overall Lead / Engineering manager to manage the resource requirements and deliver the project within the budget and schedule.
• Manage and provide technical support on and off-site for Emerson and customer engineers
• Work with the overall lead Identifying the scope gaps and highlighting them to the customer in a change order.
• Effectively utilize the Emerson tools and Quality standards in all the projects.
• Proactive approach to problem-solving leveraging strong analytical skills to identify and address potential issues before they escalate
• Provide customer site support for start-up and commissioning.
• Provide sales support on and off-site.
• Responsible for ensuring OT cybersecurity compliance on the system setup
• Adhere to Health Safety & Environment policies as laid by the organization.

Who You Are:

• Lead Engineer will perform Engineering Functions to ensure efficient project execution. He will assist the project team in review of design inputs delivery of design documents collaborate with engineering team ensure productivity during project execution communicate effectively with customer/end user drive productivity and complete projects on schedule.
  

For This Role You Will Need:

• Sound Knowledge of Emerson Process Management Process Systems and Solutions products
• 5 - 10 years of experience in Process Automation Projects
• Should have fluency in English with good verbal and written communication skill
• Candidate should have knowledge of Microsoft office and proficiency in Microsoft Word Excel Power-point and Visio with strong presentations skills
• Excellent time management and ability to multi-task and prioritize the work

Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:

• In-depth knowledge of Emerson DeltaV SIS Networking and Virtualization
• Knowledge in engineering tools are added advantage
• In-depth knowledge of Qatar Engineering standards
• In-depth knowledge on OT cybersecurity solutions
• DeltaV SIS Trainings & Certification are added advantage
