Telecom Engineer

The Telecom Engineer is responsible for maintaining troubleshooting testing commissioning and supporting industrial telecommunication systems across Oil & Gas facilities. The role ensures reliable operation of communication networks and telecom infrastructure while supporting plant operations and maintaining compliance with company standards and HSE requirements.

• Perform preventive predictive corrective and breakdown maintenance of telecom systems.
  
• Install configure test troubleshoot and commission telecom equipment.
  
• Maintain fiber optic networks structured cabling systems and communication infrastructure.
  
• Support industrial communication systems including LAN/WAN networks radio communication systems telephony CCTV PA/GA and access control systems.
  
• Perform testing and fault diagnosis of telecom equipment and communication networks.
  
• Read and interpret telecom drawings cable schedules network diagrams and technical documentation.
  
• Coordinate with engineering operations maintenance and project teams during shutdowns and new installations.
  
• Maintain documentation of maintenance activities inspections and testing records.
  
• Ensure compliance with PTW LOTO and HSE procedures.
  
• Support system upgrades modifications and commissioning activities.
  
• Monitor system performance and recommend improvements for reliability and operational efficiency.
  
• Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor.
