JOB DESCRIPTION TESTING & MAINTENANCE ENGINEER- ELECTRICAL (OFFSHORE 28 DAYS ROTATIONAL CYCLE) Mandatory - Candidate must be Degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering Mandatory - 8-10 years’ experience in installation maintenance & Testing of Transformer MV/LV Switch Board A/C UPS DC UPS and all other Electrical Equipment. Supervision of Cable Tray work. Supervision of LV/MV/HV Cable Laying & Termination Work. Supervision of Underground & above ground Grounding system. The Candidate must be familiar with all kinds of Electrical Drawings Schematic drawing Datasheets Specifications International Electrical Standards Test Reports and Progress Monitoring for Petrochemical Refinery Oil & Gas and Offshore Oil Platform Projects with a reputed contracting company. Knowledge of Project Management Construction Management Project Coordination Project Planning & Schedule Site Survey and Feasibility Studies Periodic Monitoring and Preparation of Progress Reports & work packs. The candidate must have adequate knowledge of verifying the MTO in respect to the project drawings. Develop maintenance strategies for offshore electrical equipment & provide technical input for the maintenance activities. Must have experience in Testing of MV/LV Switch Board A/C UPS DC UPS. Testing of Power and Auxiliary Transformers such as SFRA testing Tan-delta test Vector group etc. Testing of Relay/Control Panels Testing of Microprocessors / Solid State Based Relays by Primary & Secondary Injection and able to check the operation of Switchboard as per Schematic Drawings. Perform the study and set calculations for the Siemens GE ABB Protection Relays. Knowledge of Cable and Transformers Differential Stability Checking and testing of CT VT by use of “OMICRON” Test Instruments. Checks for mechanical and electrical functions of equipment’s circuit testing of control cabling control equipment’s and protection system. Well versed with handling all the test equipment like CMC-256 Freja 549 CPC-100 Power analyzer IR Tester VIDAR PD Tan delta VLF & HV Hipot test kit etc. Hi-voltage test of MV/HV cables as per project specifications. Pre-commissioning tests commissioning tests Energization tests Acceptance tests for Petrochemical Refinery Oil & Gas and Offshore Oil Platform Projects with a reputed contracting company. Must have ability to communicate in English and work independently. Mandatory - Gulf & offshore experience will be preferred Certification in COMPEX & UPDA Grade-A will be preferred. The candidate must be medically fit & ready to work offshore.
