<p>Built a credit card fraud detection classifier on an anonymized dataset of 284,807 transactions with 0.17% fraud prevalence, applying feature scaling to transaction amounts and dropping non-predictive temporal fields before training.</p><p> Addressed severe class imbalance using SMOTE oversampling and benchmarked Decision Tree against Random Forest ensembles, evaluating on precision, recall and F1 rather than accuracy alone to avoid the majority-class trap.</p><p> Contributed to front-end development tasks alongside the ML work, translating designs into responsive HTML/CSS/JavaScript interfaces.</p>
