Senior monitoring and Evaluation officer
• To establish and support a robust Data Demand and Information Use (DDIU) strategy. This involves developing monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual performance slides for all CHS SHINDA TENA-supported sites, providing a comprehensive overview of facility and program performance.
• Assisting in the maintenance of routine program, donor, and Ministry of Health (MOH) databases, including Fisherfolk, Key population, and DREAMS. Additionally, we prepare reports, dashboards, and other visual representations of program results using tools such as Power BI, Excel, or other suitable platforms.
• A key focus is building the capacity of Data Officers so that they can effortlessly handle various project data demands.
• Taking charge of developing and managing a program-level live dashboard, which serves as a valuable tool for conducting weekly, monthly, and quarterly progress reviews for the program and donors. Furthermore, we actively contribute to the compilation, aggregation, and generation of timely data reports on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis, ensuring they reach donors, the CHS program, and the MOH.
• Performing data quality audits, coordinating data cleaning through field Data Officers, and verifying data accuracy are essential steps we take before submitting any data reports. We also run Data Quality Assessments (DQAs) and conduct data checks for entries in the DREAMS, Fisherfolk, and Key population databases to ensure the data is complete and error-free.
• Meticulously preparing accurate data for entry into PEPFAR and CDC reporting information systems, such as DATIM, 3 PM, and C-RIS. Additionally, implementing solutions that facilitate real-time data collection, submission, and sharing.
• Enhancing data accuracy checks and identify inconsistencies, we write programming scripts that automate these processes and generate reports. Monthly data summaries are generated to effectively track program performance and provide valuable insights. We also design routine and ad hoc data collection tools using platforms such as ODK, Excel, Epi Info, and the DHIS2 database.
• Promptly addressing ad hoc data requests as they arise. Furthermore, we oversee the capture of registered girls' data in the DREAMS database by providing technical guidance to AGYW data entrants.
