Responsible for understanding the requirements as provided by the product owners from the business side and designing efficient ETL mappings and Data Warehousing processes along with leading and mentoring freshers and new joiners on the same.

Presently working as a developer in the SPR (Strategic Performance Reporting) space of the Wealth Management domain, specifically dealing with requirements within the MSIQ (Morgan Stanley Impact Quotient) programme.
Project involves generation of downstream feeds needed for maintenance of dashboard and generation of reports for FAs (Financial Advisors) summarizing various impact rating scores that have been calculated based on a portfolio/asset class's exposure to various socio-economic and environmental impact factors.
Thus enabling the FA's to suggest appropriate investment products to their clients.
Worked on developing Informatica mappings to consume, process and stage various ETF and MF compositions and ratings data from various data vendors.
Worked on designing and writing SQLs and stored procs in Teradata for interacting with the staged data and calculating rating scores across various asset classes and processing it for generating downstream feeds using existing MS frameworks.
Worked on enhancing batch stability and resilience by optimizing batch processes, SQLs and stored procs for existing modules
Worked on writing basic python modules for acquiring and staging unstructured data from some vendor sources.
Mentoring colleagues, conducting sessions to help them get up to speed with certain ETL and database concepts and existing MS frameworks.

Worked in a team of two on building and maintaining a Mule account and fraudulent payments detecting system integrated over a payments engine.
Project involved building and maintaining a realtime system capable of capturing/identifying mule accounts (suspicious accounts) which played a part in carrying out & funding for fraudulent transactions, based on the validation of certain business rules.
Worked on developing and maintaining real time components for the fraudulent payments detection engine thereby making use of basic A>I queues, recycle queues, time triggered check-pointing, calling of API services and processing JSON requests and responses.
Making use of BRE for defining and implementing business rules for validating and identifying Mule accounts and Fraudulent Transactions.

Worked in a team of 3 for building Barclays Identity Services (IDS) system.
Project involved migration of customer centric data linked to various applications within legacy Barclays systems such as SDS and CS into a newly centralized Maria DB based Barclays Identity Service system, which was eventually expected to become the master for customer centric information across BI landscape.
Responsible for developing and designing an end to end solution for migrating customer records tranche wise in line with the mapping & validation rules as provided by the BAs and as required by the IDS programme to onboard entities onto the IDS Maria DB.
Worked on building an A>I plan to virtually automate the entire the process of tranche file consumption and migration of records into IDS DB.
Built A>I graphs to validate the incoming tranche, apply mapping rules & transform, call IDS APIs and log & summarize the errors encountered at various stages of this cycle in a systematic way.

Worked on multiple projects involving data acquisition from various tier-1 to tier-3 application sources (primarily involving Oracle or Teradata DB).
Publishing the acquired data to various data integration layers for consumption by multiple downstreams.
Applying any data transformations as per business needs and bringing the transformed data into the Barclays Information Warehouse (BIW E-layer) from where it is further migrated to reporting layer (A-layer) to be used by business reporting tools such as Cognos, as well for maintaining summarized data at MI (Information Management) layer.
Generation of various types of ETL reports/feeds addressing various business needs across different projects as per the mapping rules provided and in the specified formats such as .CSV, .xml, .xls etc.
Strategic data archival for compliance and audit purposes at CaaS layer, using RainStor and Teradata DB.
Generation of files containing data in ebcidic format to be processed by mainframe systems.
Conversion of existing Informatica mappings into A>I graphs across various projects as part of Informatica to A>I migration programme, under Barclays BICEP commitment.
Worked on almost all major Ab Initio components used for data transformation and processing, such as reformat, rollup, scan, fuse, normalize, dedup, join, sort, etc.
Made extensive use of multifile system where data is partitioned into multiple file partitions for parallel processing.
Worked with plenty of generic graphs for file creation, data loading and housekeeping.
Developed graphs involving xml file generation and processing.
Worked on Conduct>IT, thereby developing various conditional Ab Initio plans which helped in performance tuning and process automation.

Worked as the sole ETL A>I Developer in a team comprising of about 30 people having expertise in Informatica, Teradata, Cognos and various other reporting tools.
Worked mainly on enhancement projects from A>I perspective since Informatica was being used as the strategic ETL tool during that time across most divisions within Barclays.
Responsible for understanding the requirements as presented by the programme/BAs and driving the project right through its development phase by taking the complete ownership.
Working closely in conjunction with vendor partners, assisting them as well as keeping track of their work.
Providing complete support and assistance to the testing teams in setting up test environments as well as fixing code issues.
Guiding the change teams in scheduling jobs, setting up environments and deploying ETL code in OAT & production environments.
Preparing documents such as DN, PDG and providing complete assistance and support in fixing any production issues to the run team (L2 support).
Assisting the L3 support by sharing application knowledge, as well as guiding them in making changes or deploying any fixes for existing applications.
Mentoring the newly joined freshers working on ETL projects.
